Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Silicon Valley Skydiving
Thanks for acquiring our services and products (“Services”). The Services are provided by California Skydive Center Inc (“CSC”), also known and doing business as Silicon Valley Skydiving, located at 234B Skylane Dr, Hollister, CA 95023, United States, and/or any third-party contractor (“Contractor”) required to willingly provide the Services.
By acquiring our Services, you are agreeing to these policy, terms & conditions.
General Terms

CSC is a United States Parachute Association (“USPA”) member, operating under USPA’s directives & basic safety requirements, and also under Federal Aviation Administration’s (“FAA”) regulations.

Anyone jumping without direct instructor supervision – graduated students and licensed solo jumpers – must have a USPA membership, either annual or temporary.

Tandem and solo jump students must be under direct CSC instructor supervision and meet all requirements for the intended jump.

All jumpers must be 18 years and older, CSC requires either an original Driver’s License or original Passport to verify age, and valid USPA license or signed jumps log book to verify skydiving experience, except for tandem jump students.

Intoxicated persons are not allowed to board the aircraft. Refrain from substance-consumption that may impair your judgment and mobility at least 8 hours prior and during your experience.

All jumpers must fully understand, sign and complete a Release of Liability Agreement (“Waiver”).

Any and all liabilities not covered by CSC’s Waiver or CSC’s Insurance policies, arisen from Contractor’s sole actions and decisions to provide the Service, are under Contractor’s full responsibility.

Flight days might change due to safety, weather, operational and/or regulatory constrains, in which case affected customer will be contacted and any required jump reschedule will be performed by CSC without rescheduling fee.

All advertised prices have a cash payment discount applied. Additional 5% applies over any other accepted payment methods.

CSC does not combine deals and does not issue refunds.

Unless stated otherwise, general promotional deals are valid for 6 months period from its purchase date, and after promotional period has elapsed they are worth the amount of money paid for as credit towards similar Services offered by CSC.

All money value available on customer account never expires, it is fully transferable, and may be used towards any Services offered by CSC, subject to their current rates and availability.

Operations take place primarily at San Martin Airport – 12700 Murphy Ave – or at Hollister Airport – 234B Skylane Drive – according to CSC operations convenience, to be determined and informed by email and/or text message.
Tandem Jump (“Tandem”)
-
All jumpers must be 18 years and older, CSC requires either an original Driver’s License or original Passport to verify age.

There is a weight limit of 250 pounds, CSC charging extra per pound over 200 pounds.

Bookings are for arrival time, not jump time. Plan to spend approximately 3 to 4 hours at with us from your arrival time. It can be longer if there is weather issues causing delays. CSC advises calling (1-800-386-5867) before driving over the day of the jump to check on latest weather updates.

CSC offers a spectators ride in our plane for anyone 18 years and older, after paying the ride-along fee per person, to ensure that the seat is secured. CSC advises the ride-along fee to be pre-purchased.

It is recommended to wear athletic clothing (jeans, t-shirt, sneakers – extra layers are recommended in case of lower temperatures).

No participants can be pregnant at the time of the experience.

Each jumper must watch the Uninsured United Parachutes Technologies waiver video prior to signing the agreement provided in the confirmation e-mail.

All participants must fully understand, sign and complete a Release of Liability Agreement (“Waiver”).

If you need to change or cancel the reservation, please phone CSC’s reservation department 5 full days prior to reservation date, after which there is a late cancellation fee per person or possible loss of the jumps. If booking within the 5 day window, this policy is in effect.

Due to the nature of the sport, group reservations are given priority but not guaranteed to be retained and may be divided into separate flights without prior notice.

If you checked-in at CSC location and is not present when your flight is called for boarding, you will lose the jump, no refund applies.

Freefall time and jump altitude may differ from advertised, due to jumpers weight, weather conditions and/or safety procedures.

Media services includes raw videos and photos only, according to the acquired package. Video time, size and quantity may vary. Photos quantity may vary.

Pre-jump $20 media bonus can only be used towards single jump, is not transferable, not combining, and expires after jump was taken.
Same Day Special / Gift Store Vouchers (“Coupon”)
-
A Same Day Special is a one-time use only, promotional sale, available to customers for purchase at CSC location, at the same day of their jump, after they have jumped.

A Gift Store Voucher is a one-time use only, regular sale, available to customers for purchase at our on-line gift store, at anytime.

A Coupon is fully transferable and it never expires, being worth the promotional type of jump it states for one year period from its purchase date, or the duration of the promotion it stands for, and after the promotional period has elapsed they are worth the amount of money stated and/or paid for as credit towards similar Services offered by CSC.

To redeem the Coupon, holder must present the physical Coupon. Without physical Coupon, holder must present the Coupon code and the purchase receipt for CSC checking.

CSC will not redeem a Coupon more than once, nor just a code without a purchase receipt, nor a purchase receipt without a code.

All booked Coupon jumps that does not meet redeeming criteria at CSC check-in will be considered and charged as a full price jump, according to its specific Terms.
Jump Ticket (“Ticket”)

A Jump Ticket is a one-time use only, regular sale, available to any solo graduated and licensed jumper for purchase at CSC location.

A Ticket is non-transferable and cash value never expires, being worth available jump altitudes according to CSC flight arrangements.

A Ticket promotional value is valid for one year from purchase date, after that period subject to price adjustment according to CSC operational costs.

To use a Ticket, owner must present the physical ticket or have purchased credit on CSC’s DZ Management system (“Burble”), under jumper’s personal account.

To be on a flight or load, Ticket owner must manifest at CSC’s front desk / check-in counter.
-
Any remaining Burble account credit acquired under special Ticket promotions will be available for future use towards regular price jumps.

If manifested and not present when your flight is called for boarding, the Ticket will be forfeit.
-
No refunds or lost tickets recovery is available.
Solo Training Pack (“Pack”)
-
A Training Pack is a promotional sale package towards solo and/or skills training programs, available to any interested customer for purchase at CSC location.
-
A Pack is non-transferable and cash value never expires, being worth available jump altitudes according to CSC flight arrangements.

A Pack promotional value is valid for three months from purchase date, after that period subject to price adjustment according to CSC operational costs.
-
Items included on Pack not claimed by customer after three months from purchase date will be forfeit.

No refunds, no upgrades, no downgrades available.

About these Terms

CSC may modify these terms or any additional terms that apply to a Service to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our Services. You should look at the terms regularly.

Changes addressing new rules for a Service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately.

Any and all Services offered by CSC’s official means of advertisement, including special prices, sales and promotions, are subject to this terms and conditions, including any additional condition stated by the promo advertisement.

If there is a conflict between these terms and any additional terms, the additional terms will control for that conflict, unless not specified under additional terms.

These terms control the relationship between CSC and customers. They do not create any third party beneficiary rights.

If you do not comply with these terms, and we don’t take action right away, this doesn’t mean that CSC is giving up any rights that it may have (such as taking action in the future).

If it turns out that a particular term is not enforceable, this will not affect any other terms.

The laws of California, U.S.A., excluding California’s conflict of laws rules, will apply to any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the Services.

All claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the Services will be litigated exclusively in the federal or state courts of San Benito County, California, USA, and you and CSC consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
