What are the age restrictions on skydiving?

Technically, you can be any age to skydive. All you need to do is find someone willing to strap a parachute to your back and toss you out of a perfectly good airplane. And yes, you want a parachute on any skydive, whatever your age.

Maximum Age For Skydiving
There is no maximum age, so you can’t be too old to skydive. At Silicon Valley Skydiving we’ve taken tandem skydivers of every age from 18-100. Normal requirements still apply, of course. The participant must be in good physical condition and live a generally active lifestyle.

You need to be regularly active and in good general physical fitness to skydive.
Good health is very important for high adrenaline outdoor activities, especially when rapid altitude change is concerned. If you can hike or jog, with no major medical issues, you can probably go skydiving.

Minimum Age To Skydive
On the flip side, there is a minimum age to skydive. In the United States the law states that you must be a legal adult to jump out of a plane. To be considered an adult in America you must be 18, so you must be at least 18 to jump.

TLDR: you can’t be too old to skydive, as long as you’re healthy. On the other side, nobody under the age of 18 years can legally go skydiving. (This just gives you something awesome too look forward to on your 18th birthday!)
